Ashwagandha is a plant. The root and berry are used to make medicine known as ‘ginseng’ of Ayurvedic medicine and is considered an ‘adaptogen’.
Ashwagandha is rich in iron, which contributes to increased red blood cell count. Contains significant amounts of amino acids arginine and ornithine, which are needed for proper central nervous system function.
Ashwagandha root stimulates the immune system, can reduce inflammation, and may even improve memory. Ashwagandha may help to reduce effects of stress, treat anxiety and insomnia.
How to use
Mix 1-2 teaspoons of ashwagandha powder in a glass of warm milk or water and drink it twice a day. It can also be added to smoothies or shakes.
